After four successful years in Crown Terrace, Crown House has moved 10 minutes up the road to 20 Filey Road, an imposing, detached, Victorian red-brick house with large, light rooms.

After some years of being perhaps a little “unloved”, 20 Filey Road offered an opportunity to renovate an old property whilst giving it the Crown House touch. Our style is a mix of old and new, light-filled rooms, comfortable beds, Egyptian Cotton sheets, soft thick towels, and books, music, films and art to enjoy.

You’ll feel very welcome here and we’ll try to spoil you with our home-made treats and gorgeous breakfasts made with local produce.

We’re within walking distance of the station, the Stephen Joseph Theatre and town (about 20-25 minutes away) and we’re still close to the sea (go 5 minutes down Belvedere Road and you’ll come out at the top of the Italian Gardens on the Esplanade). There is a restaurant within 5 minutes’ walk, and plenty of others in town. We’re also 10 minutes from the cliff lift and therefore in easy reach of the Spa.  Parking is available on the drive.
